OK... this is where the issue gets really really mirky for me. If Winston was indeed innocent of the rape and it was consensual, then someone please explain the "cover-up" made by the TPD and the Detective. They told FSUs attorney, which is Winstons lawyer, of the event when it was reported that Winston was the suspect and was the guy the girl IDed, and failed to notify the girls legal team that they did notify Winston and his legal team. And then they give Winstons lawyer the full copy of the police report that was filed, but failed to do that for the girl. And then it takes them 4 months to notify the girl and her family the results of her rape kit and blood work. Then, after all that, the TPD then failed to not only investigate him or collect a DNA sample from him, but they didnt even put his name under the suspect list after the girl IDed him and said it was him. Its almost like they just thought if they ignored the girl and her family long enough she would just go away. And it sounds like she did. Until that reporter broke the story a few weeks ago.

If he was innocent and could prove he was innocent, why not just take care of it then and be done with it instead of covering it up like they did? And i full believe the lawyer and PD worked together to try and keep this hush-hush.

It all leads to a cover-up between the TPD and FSU. Heads will swing if this was indeed rape.

That's because he likely isn't innocent. The cover up should have been the red flag for everyone.
