re: Glaring weaknesses after 2007

I'm not discounting your point - obviously we had a weakness at QB 2008 through 2011. We had defensive issues in 2008, 2009 and, frankly, 2012 and 2013.
But, with my stubby pencil, I'm coming up with 51-15 over that time (2008-2012, inclusive), full seasons, or up to 58-18 currently.
Let's look at those 18:
Florida 2008 - BCS Champs (undefeated).
Bama 2009 - BCS Champs (undefeated)
Auburn 2010 - BCS Champs (undefeated)
Bama 2011 (1/9/2012) in the BCS Championship (we were undefeated up to that point, and Bama's only loss was to us in T-Town during the regular season)
Bama 2012 - BCS Champs (only loss to aTm, whom we beat)
Bama 2013 - (will be) BCS Champs
The other 12, a couple of losses to Ole Miss, couple to Arkansas, couple (other) losses to Florida, Clemson and Penn State in bowl games.
That's pretty much it - let me ask you this?
Who else has beaten Bama twice during that stretch? Because we have.
So, you have to make up your mind - is the coaching bad when we lose and the players good when we win? Is that the argument? Because Bama loses, too.
And Miles has NEVER lost to the caliber of opponent of UAB or UL-M, at least not at LSU.
I don't like the fundamental weaknesses I see on the team this year, particularly the defense's tendency to fade (losing a bunch of guys who are starting or playing significant time in the NFL this year will do that to your depth chart, but it is what it is - live by the great players, die when the great players leave early.), but let's not pretend this wasn't supposed to be a rebuilding year, defensively, new offensive scheme, etc.

So you are ok with losing to the eventual champs each year? I thought that was our objective, to be the champions.
