Miles exudes excellence in his demeanor, he brings it out in his players, he shows it in his human interactions with others and he creates leaders because of his caring attitude
....and Miles actually knows who his kids are and what his kids do...he is comfortable and balanced because he understands that WIN-AT-ALL-COST though nice for ignorant fans does not teach true life lessons to his family and his players. I think Miles is there as much for his players as he expects them to be there for him. Saban, on the other hand, gives me the impression that the program is all about him and his image, not preparing young men to be successful in life--especially if football ends when they leave Bama.
Saban is successful, lucky, and an opportunist--he isn't as great as he is made out to be. Freak hit on McCoy gives him the advantage--and Bama hung on to win. The do-over in '12 was a gift--and he maximized on it. Last year was a missed tackle that let's Bama escaped with a win--nothing too magical from Saban caused that result.
Miles--coaching is what I do--not who I am.
Saban--coaching is who I am.
