I might agree. It took an utterly sloppy Saints game, unlike any other they'd played all year, with numerous turnovers, on the road, and the 49ers still needed a desperation score at the end to win. That was a tough loss to swallow esp after seeing the Giants win it all, which ties into one of your points...that Giants team was like 9-7 and was embarrassed by the Saints in Dec. The playoff system failed as bad as the BCS ever has.

A historically elite CFB team could give a historically bad NFL team a decent game.
If a historically elite CBB team played a historically bad NBA team in a 7 game series, the series would go to at least a 6th game.
If a historically elite CBB team played a historically bad NBA team in a 7 game series, the series would go to at least a 6th game.
