Great post and some great memories, thanks my friend. This was the team that sent Bear Bryant into retirement, so happy to see him go. I also remember reading an article that year about Dalton when he was in high school. He went to a doctor in Natchez I believe (wasn't he from the Vidalia area?). Anyway, the doctor had him sitting on the table and had him raise his lower leg up and was blown away. The doc got his nurse to come look at the muscles and veins in the legs of a 16 year old high school football player. Doc said he had never seen anyone like that in his life. Now we know how Dalton was able to run over linebackers at times even though he was in the 5'8" 188" range. Until Kevin Faulk came along he had replaced Brad Davis as my favorite LSU halfback. Great years to be a tiger fan.
