Add to the discussion then. Who would you take out of the young quarterbacks?

I wasn't necessarily talking to you but the poster who called Luck the most accurate and aware when he had BY FAR the most INTs by any of the rookie QBs AND the most dropped INTs by any QB in the league last year.

Kaep and RG3 (when healthy) are significantly more accurate than Luck. Hell I'd argue Wilson is the most accurate of all of them. You want Luck for his brain. Outside of that, the others are superior physically (minus Wilson but solely because of his height).

It reminds me of Steve Young early in his career. He ran around like a chick on speed early in his career. Everyone thought he was nothing but a fad who would fade or get injured. Instead, he refined his game, developed more of a passing game while maintaining his athleticism and the ability to pickup cheap first downs when he needed it.

All of these guys are far superior athletes to Young and significantly more developed passers at this point in their careers compared to him. Add in the development of the spread attacks with the way they better utilize a QB's athleticism, and I'm not sure how you could NOT chose the mobile QBs over Luck. The only advantage Luck have, IMO, is a decrease in injury concerns.

If I rank who I'd want it'd be:

1. Preinjury RG3 - People forget just how good he was, no clue if we'll ever see it again though
2. Kaepernick - Probably the safest bet for success given his coach and surrounding talent on team
3. Wilson - The overlooked stud, when he's on no one is better
4. Luck - Stud QB who just doesn't have the added dimension the others do

And my ranking would be completely opposite.

My argument for Luck being the best of the group.

- He has ZERO running game, unlike the other 3
- He has much more responsibility than the others
- He's much more athletic than you are giving him credit for. The dude is actually pretty damn fast. He can run when he needs to.
- His defense is very sub par, especially compared to what Kaepernick and Wilson have.
- Despite being on a very mediocre team, he wins games, and it's ALWAYS all on him. He led a shitty team to the playoffs, without help.

I honestly think if you throw him on the Seattle team, and especially San Francisco, his numbers would be outstanding, and absolutely more efficient. I cannot say the same for the others with confidence if they were playing for the Colts. You mention him missing the dimension the others have, but I don't understand it. No, he's not as fast, but he is very gifted with his legs. He had 255 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns last season. Just in the opening game this season he had 38 on 6 attempts and a rushing TD. He also completed 78% of his passes, showing his accuracy has improved, for two TD passes.

The reason he had so many interceptions last season was because he had no help. He had to throw the ball a shitload. The other rookies, along with Kaepernick, didn't have to carry a team near as much as he did last season. Not even close.

The kid is an absolute stud.

IDK about that

No way Wilson should be above Luck based on what we have seen so far. Wilson only had to throw the ball like 20 times a game last year. Coco is right that Luck would thrive on any top team but we really have no idea how the other QBs would be on The Colts.
