I played baseball all through high school and I faced one guy that went pro (drafted by Pittsburgh) Before I faced him, the hardest thrower I had ever seen sat around 91-94 but with little movement and he didnt really have any secondary pitches. Wasnt too tough after seeing a couple of pitches.
Anyways, it was like a complete different world when I faced the guy that went pro. He was hitting 94-96 all day with ridiculous tailing movement (I'm a lefty). He had a pretty good curve and a sick change. I thought I threw my back out swinging at an 0-2 changeup one at bat. That was the one and only time in my high school career I wore the golden sombrero
I know :csb:
