Most of these Kids don't grow up with the allegiance to college schools because they don't have relatives or friends that've attended. They aren't exposed to the stadium in any other capacity than being a recruit. So I don't think they have the same perspective as us die hard fans who've gone to games since childhood.

Then again, you've also got to factor in this kids may have aspirations for this to really be their career regardless of the substantial odds against that. So... It also may be just a logical decision ("I won't play." "Too many people are ahead of me at my position." "I want to play QB.") They're all factors.

If my kid was a big time national recruit with aspirations of the next level, I would want him to go where ever would give him the best opportunity to get to that level.
If he had absolutely no chance to go NFL, but could get a scholly, I'd want him to go where he could get the best education.
