Need some help watching the games while I'm deployed

Greetings to all. I'm a medic in the US Army attached to a line unit currently in route to Afghanistan where I'll be assigned long after football season ends. On the FOB I'm on, I already know I'm going to have several issues with being able to watch my Tigers play. The time difference and internet connection being the main ones. We should have AFN Sports down there but they only show one game and its usually luck of the draw. (and it'll probably be when I'm working)
Anyway, I know a lot of you record the games in their entirety, just to have, or make highlight vids, etc. I was wondering if it would be possible to digitally send me the games the following day through some internet connection means. Needless to say, I'm not that internet savvy, but I'm sure there are programs to allow the transfer of large files.
I would be extremely grateful if anyone can do this for me. This is my first military deployment and being able to watch my Tigers play would be a welcome distraction.
Thank you, and God bless

Hey man I did a season in Afghanistan (2011) and its not terrible except for no booze! AFN shows two SEC games every Saturday and usually a Thursday game. Also all FOBs have internet that is ok, streaming was maddening but better than nothing. I listened to non televised games on the internet, I'm older and I love listening to games! Put up an LSU flag and wear your colors in the gym, you will have Tiger fans hit you up that you can watch games with and there will be plenty of guys watching all the SEC games.
You keep your head down man that shite is over ok, take care of your guys it will go by quickly.

Have you ever heard of the slingbox? It is a great piece of hardware and works really well. If you have good internet connection, it basically let's you hookup to someones calbe or directv box and view whatever they can view at their house. the "slingbox" is hooked up the the box at their house and connected to the internet through their router.

Good luck man. I missed much of 2008 and 2009 seasons without afn. I did get the saints Super Bowl via mail 6 weeks afterwards. I don't know of a technologically more advanced option because Internet transfer is probably not feasible over there.

On the FOB I was on not enough bandwidth for the sling. But get with your 6 shop guys, they will have the absolute latest technology available!

Hey bro. Since you are out there takin care of business, and I'm over here soaking up all this freedom, if you want, I can give you access to my slingbox and I have Geaux Zone.
I did it before for a poster here and I'll do it again. Now my local channels are Birmingham so no Saints, there is that, but I will not be in any blackouts for LSU which is good.
Reply to this if you would like my email address.
Thank you for your service.

Sorry it took awhile to respond. Like I said the internet is tricky and we don't always have access to it. But yeah, I've heard of slingbox, that would be awesome.

You will need a pretty constant signal to watch it. I can DVR the games though so you won't need to watch them live. I can do other games too just let me know which ones.
