Looking to get a rod for my soft plastic set up. Thinking of getting the 7 foot medium heavy. Any opinions?

The best rod you can buy IMO

I prefer straight medium for plastics, but it varies for everyone. Also depends what weight you plan on fishing.
Never heard anything bad about a duckett. Thats the best thing

Good rods. I like a MH with an x-fast tip for plastics. One thing to keep in mind is the warranty of whatever rod you buy. Shimano has a life time over the counter warranty on all their rods. I'm pretty sure Duckett is a one year warranty, but you have to mail it back to them. The only Duckett I have is a 7'11" crankbait rod, I've been pleased with it.

Hands down my favorite rod that I own. I have two and I love them.
I have a 6-9 MH for my main worm rod and it's perfect. Very fast tip, plenty of flex, but a good backbone for hooksets.
Oh and I'm pretty sure they have a 30 year warranty, but you do have to mail them in.
