Id bet every dollar I have if ZM goes down Rivers is first under center.
If that happens and he plays avg to above avg then obv he'll have leg up for next yr.
I honestly dont understand why some people make the decison to annoint a player the starter after a couple youtube clips and warm up tosses in practice game.
None of us know how any of the 4 qbs we have will perform against SEC caliber competion.
Is it too much to ask to see how that unfolds before making such bold claims?

Rivers has not given a chance to show what he can do. I don't remember seeing him having a chance to throw the ball 1 time last year. With LSU's running backs & wide receivers, I think he will be fine. He has a rocket arm for those of u have not seen him play!

I watched the team practice in the Spring and Rivers did not impress me at all.

just to show you how fricking stupid some of these kids are on this site... AJennings was next superstar during the spring..
Poor guy has already gotten kicked to the curb in favor of Brandon Harris.
Harris better watch out, Im sure there is a JV kid playing qb somewhere in La on his 9-10th grade team LSU might sign soon .
He'll be the next MVick.

Exactly. People watch their HS highlight vids and wet themselves. The next recruit is always better.
Then 4 years later they bitch that Miles not using them correctly is the reason they never panned out.

Rivers-yes....Bolden-no.
Rivers will get the final couple of drives in the 2 cupcake games after TCU and will be the first guy in should something happen to Mett early in the season.
I think Jennings will play the Perrilloux role as early as game one, assuming we are handling TCU by 7-10 points during most of the game. If Jennings handles his role well during the 5 game SEC stretch, he very well could be the #2 guy by the time will play Furman.
This is the best shape we've been in as far as qb's are concerned in a while.

If you watched the Spring game you would know that it would be impossible for Rettig not to be the most improved. He was absolutely terrible.
