Singleton's on Garfield
Bayou Hot Wings on Claiborne
Nola Pho Life on N. Peters
Rivista on Magazine
Pizzicare on Tulane
Sammy's on Elysian Fields
as far as nicer places go, I can't believe there are too many places that haven't been mentioned on this board at least once.
