Okay I think we are in a strong position and as long as we continue to keep winning against the sides out side of the top 6-8 we should continue to be there as well.
Yet in saying this I was listening to the football show on Siriusxm awhile ago and a guy was talking about a top six matrix and how if you win that you win the league.
Okay so here would be the teams in said matrix:
Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham
If you want to expand to top eight add Everton & Southampton.
So out of that matrix there are a total of 30 available points(42 for expanded). If a club takes 20 points from this group they are almost guaranteed to win the league.
So let's look at where we stand right now.
--------------------------------------------------
Arsenal - (0/6) 1P
Chelsea - (0/6) 0P
Man U - (3/6) 1P
Man City - (0/6) 0P
Tottenham - (0/6) 0P
TOTAL = (3/30)
IN GAMES PLAYED (3/6)
--------------------------------------------------
Everton - (0/6) 0P
Southampton - (0/6) 1P
TOTAL = (3/42)
IN GAMES PLAYED (3/9)
--------------------------------------------------
So after looking at we have picked up 3 of a possible 9 and we haven't played many of the teams from the top, which is a good and bad thing. Good because there are a lot of potential match up to take points away from them and bad because they could exploit us and show that we are good enough to beat the lesser teams but not good enough to beat the big boys yet.
If we continue our form with those clubs outside the top 6-8 and take 1/2 to 2/3 of the points from the clubs listed above we will finish in the top 4 if not better.
And for that I am excited ... YNWA boys

I'm pretty sure we've taken 3/6 (not 3/9) from the "matrix" so far. Unless you are counting Saints, which you shouldn't (they will drop off).
