We need to play a lot better tomorrow morning. I'm sick of looking like shite in the league. The Dortmund match is going to be interesting, pretty sure we haven't notched a league win over them since 2010.

Feel like there hasn't been a complete performance since the Citeh match...
I know it'll take time to fully implement Pep's system, and fortunately guys like Kroos and Lahm are ahead of the curve...but it's just so much more different than last spring....the days of 7:0 Bundesliga blowouts are long gone...it was just so much fun to watch.
Schweiny had been struggling a bit to find his place in the new system, this injury will only set him back further...hoping that Javi can adjust sooner than later, though he'll have to take it slow with recovery.
It's amazing that four months ago people were cracking 1-8-1 jokes...and yet the midfield is thin just 3 months in...

Can't blame him...no one knows what position they're playing each match...

Question: Do you like the new system or would you rather have Ol' Jupp back?
Posted on 11/11/13 at 5:46 pm to WCMOTIGER
Hard to say. Bayern was so unstoppable last season and there's been a bit of a learning curve this season so it hasn't been as pretty. Of course I would have liked for Jupp to stay longer but Pep knows what he's doing and the days where it comes together, it's beautiful.

That's true. I was a huge fan of Jupp and didn't really know what was coming from Pep. I'm still getting acclimated.

The million dollar question...
Last season with Jupp was just about perfect. Matches were entertaining, you could usually expect a bunch of goals (my favorite pastime was the ol' Shaquiri sub in the 78th minute and him getting a garbage-time 4 minutes later), and I felt like the players were tremendously loose...really fun squad to watch. They'd try to aggressively drive past defenders instead of trying to pass around them...probably netting more goals, but with the danger of losing possession.
With Pep, I feel like they're still having fun out there, but there's more of a disciplined feel. Evidenced by Kroos' sky-high passing percentage, this year's team seems to just suck the life out the opponent by diminishing any chance to seize possession...they're gonna be patient (maybe too patient), play keep away and maybe get 5 or 6 higher-percentage chances on goal per match, and rarely allow a team to counter without the defenders being prepared.
There was a small window of time to get Pep...listening to the stories about Uli and Pep, it seems like a one-time chance to get one of the best managers in the world.
Would I have preferred Jupp to coach a few more years before bringing in Guardiola? Absolutely, but that option wasn't on the table.
I think it was the right decision, but it wasn't an easy decision, and it was a shame Heynckes didn't get to leave on his own terms. But winning long-term, even winning with less excitement, is always what matters.

Well now that the break is over it's finally time for Die Roten to play BVB. This game would be better if we had Lewa already.

Ribery out for Bayern. Hummels, Schmelzer, Gundogan out for BVB
Posted on 11/21/13 at 3:38 pm to hendersonshands
hummels is out for awhile, right? BVB on struggle street with their CBs.

Yeah, won't be back until January. Germany needs to stop getting players hurt. I also forgot to mention that Schweinsteiger is still injured.

Seriously, Germany's my pick for the WC.

Few teams can hang with the DFB squad...Not sure if those kits will grow on me though
Posted on 11/21/13 at 11:33 pm to drockw1
I liked them in action, not wearing black shorts is criminal though
Posted on 11/21/13 at 11:58 pm to hendersonshands
I agree on the black shorts. Which German player currently not on Bayern do you think would help the club most?
Posted on 11/22/13 at 8:43 am to WCMOTIGER
Sheesh that's tough. I'll have to think more about that. As of now, I'll say Gundogan

So it's gonna be me to toast a 3-0 win over the Bees, complete with a Götze payback goal...
