If you watched the game last night and came away thinking Gray gets more action on his fastball than Nola you are either blind or just absolutely no idea what you are looking at.
Nola had better location and got great movement. His movement on his FB didn't have the late movement that Gray's fastball had. You do realize it is possible to praise someone not wearing P&G, right?
As I did before, I'll just defer to the experts who provide MLB scouting reports instead of relying on a college baseball fan. LINK
It's really indisputable that Gray has more late life on his FB than Nola and has higher upside than Nola. It's also impossible to dispute that if both were eligible this year, that 30 out of 30 MLB teams would pick Gray.

I never questioned anything in that scouting report. I can easily compare the two without "wearing PnG". Gray has more top of the rotation stuff than Nola does. He pitched fantastic last night. He has the potential to be a dominant starter in the majr leagues and he can throw four pitches. However, his fastball does not have the run that Nola's does.
