Line of Site and Ballistic City

The cable network has green-lighted a pilot order for Line of Sight, centered on a National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigator who survives a mysterious plane crash. Masters will write and serve as executive producer. Production on the Fox TV Studios/AMC Studios-produced pilot will begin later this year. Described as a "genre-bending odyssey," Line of Sight is the story of Lewis Bernt's search to find out what happened to him. He becomes a man whose world, as he knows it, unravels in a whirlwind of obsession and paranoia. "Blake Masters has created a world and set of characters that defy the traditional boundaries of drama and sci-fi. It's got great elements of both genres while also having that unique blend of a conspiracy thriller. It is genuinely unexpected and unconventional,” said Joel Stillerman, AMC’s executive vice president of original programming, production and digital content. “It is also great to be working with our incredible partners at FTVS again."

In space, no one can hear you commit crimes. Looks like “Oblivion” and “Tron: Legacy” director Joseph Kosinski plans on expanding his sci-fi tastes to TV land. The director is currently developing (and will direct the pilot for) a new sci-fi drama for AMC called “Ballistic City”. Check out the groovy synopsis: Ballistic City is described as “Blade Runner meets Battlestar Galatica” and tells the story of a former cop thrust into the criminal underworld of a city housed in a generational space ship destined for an unknown world. Sounds rad. Travis Beacham, who wrote Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming sci-fi monster mash flick “Pacific Rim”, will co-develop and produce the show with Kosinski. AMC is looking at partnering the show up with their hit series “The Walking Dead”, so you know they’re high on this one. »
