I'd honestly like half the people that posted in this thread to make a video of themselves answering questions off the cuff. I'm pretty sure most of them would be pretty laughable.

They aren't professional public speakers, and many of them use different regional diction than you. I know this may be difficult to understand, but most people in this country do not speak SAE on a regular basis.

Sure some of these guys are not the most eloquent, but once again they are not professional speakers.
