GTFO of here with that. A fantasy football teams shitty performance naming 1 player (when the rest of his team or draft probably blew)
Orrr, I could've meant that he drafted SJAX really high, essentially wasting a draft pick, thus creating a terrible lineup for the rest of his team.

Drew shifts around in the pockets so he is highly dependent on good guards. Yes he has a quick release, but they both make each other better.
WTF?? Guards are utilized more for run-blocking which is why you don't see as many sacks for defensive tackles. There's a reason they say LT's PROTECT the blind side of most qb's, because that's where most of the rush is coming from, the defensive ends.
What a monung head.
I think Smith could be better than Bushrod. Cutler's gonna find out that he doesn't protect a qb that stands too long in the pocket. Brees helped bushrod get his money.

It has been discussed here and written about in several articles if I remember right how the guards and the center are very important to Drew. He likes to step up in the pocket and not roll to either tackle to buy some time.
The Saints o-line and Brees are very specific about his throwing lanes the guards must make because of his lack of height. This is why we have a ton more money invested in guards as you say who "run block" than in our tackles and always have.

It's called the blind side because most qb's are right handed It's because you're best tackle is blocking on an island by himself usually. A RT is more important to a left handed qb...

Again completely irrelevant to the conversation.

You drunk? Even if Bushrod is overrated, which I am not arguing against, if this was even remotely possible Smith, a 26 year old former 2nd overall pick, would have gotten a lot more dough regardless of how bad his qb's have been... See Willie Roaf

The player you named that said Drew makes look better was Jahri Evans.. A GUARD
And yes while guards are very important to the run game, we quite frequently give help to our sub par tackles with TE's and running backs chipping to flood the DE's out where as our guards are one on one.
