I buy beef there when making stroganoff, etc. but not steaks or roasts...typically very poor quality.

What exactly are you talking about? The Sanderson Farms fryer in my freezer says it contains no artificial ingredients or preservatives. I'm not aware the chicken breasts I buy from the meat counter are any different.

It's all USDA Choice. How much variation is there within the classification?
