No kidding. I clearly said that pitches could be different, etc. in certain spots of the lineup. If you weren't always just worried about trying to jump in and be a dick you would have seen that.

In the OPs example you are moving him from hitting behind a guy hitting .327 with 1 HR and 22 RBI to hitting behind a guy with a .442 average 3 HR and 24 RBI. The guy behind him is the same in both scenarios. Not even taking into account the fact that everyone is aware of Katz and the damage he is currently causing, that isn't going to cause some huge paradigm shift in the sequence of pitches Katz sees during the course of an at bat.

Yes, for others it could cause a decrease in production, but the evidence in this situation would lead an individual to think the protection around Katz would be very similar, if not, possibly even better.
