AMD - How to Change The Power Control/Limit from +20% to +50%
For those of you with AMD cards. I did this last night and didn't really notice much of a difference but am still experimenting with it.
I've done some things and stuff:
Card is OC'd to 1125/1400 which is where I leave it at, for the most part.
Stock 0% power limit for a reference.
As you can see with the power limit set to 0% the GPU usage and core clocks fluctuate and throttle themselves
Heaven 0%
+20% power limit(highest % without modding registry)
Much more consistent across the board. Almost no throttling, if any.
Substantial increase in overall performance.
30% power limit. I hope you're ready for it.
Almost no difference in GPU usage as compared to 20%
Almost identical to 20% although the core clock stayed at 1125 throughout the entirety of the benchmark where as at 20% it did drop very slightly a few times.Oh and the max FPS 151.4 instead of 151.8
I tried 50% last night with 3dmark11 and there wasn't a difference compared to 20% either.

Appreciate the experiment, I wondered about this before.
