re: Remington 700 misfire issues

I watched that thing and I was just infuriated through the whole thing because I know better and it was obvious what a hack hit job it was from the beginning. I've been around that rifle and focused on that rifle and shot that rifle in many forms for most of my 46 years on this planet. I have NEVER in untold thousands of rounds fired by me and those with me and those that I know, ever even heard of an accidental discharge with one. Not even once. It just does not happen if you have even the slightest clue what you are doing. And that includes bench rest rifles that if you even think you feel the trigger, they go off. Granted those are mostly aftermarket but you get the point.

It was such an obvious case of yellow journalism it just blew my mind. And the fact that there are so many people that actually bought it, people who even frequent this board and should know better... just makes you realize how powerful the media actually is.

Terrifying.
