Spoke to a Mansfield ISD coach about Ed Paris today

Saw my cousin's husband today while helping my grandmother pack up her house. He coached Ed Paris when Paris was a freshman, and had nothing but great things to say about the kid.
He said his work ethic is second to none and was on varsity when freshman technically weren't supposed to be. He's very disciplined and focused (said growing up in a military family had a lot to do with it.) Moved from RB to DB because they were thin, but he hasn't grown much since freshman year, only increased mass. Apparently had a lot of the upperclassmen jealous by his PT and talent. Said that he had never seen or coached talent like Paris.
He also said that he had quite the following of girls, but Paris told the coaches that he didn't have time for them and they were only a distraction.
Anyway, I know how the brother's stepdad's cousin's great uncle's neighbor stuff goes on here, but I figured I'd share. Loved having a bit of insight on one of our top recruits.

We definitely got ourselves a good one in Paris. I'm ecstatic that he chose us (although apparently, it was never a question).

I know I'm not providing any groundbreaking information, but I enjoyed hearing about the work ethic and apparently that he has his head on straight.
