The shrinking number of black baseball players can be seen at Historically Black Colleges and Universities as well. According to Andrew Carter of the Charlotte News and Observer, more than half of the HBCU schools that competed in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference had more white players than African-Americans in 2012.
