So I was Facebook friends with a dude that was a really good friend of Rhino Reindhart of Captain Beyond. This cat is a guitar player too, and is pushing 60 if not past it yet. He's never been in a really famous band but had made a respectable living over the years. And even though he says he likes new music, his post don't show it. All he ever talked about was Eric Clapton or Hendrix or shite like that.

So a few days ago he put up a post stating something to the effect that all the new technology that has come out has directly caused a degradation in the quality of music and that the only real way to record is like they did in the 70s. It was a total load of bullshite and I told him so, and in doing so providing examples of how it was bullshite.

Guess who got blocked not long after that.

Some people are just stuck in the past and there is no hope for them.

Well Sayre you certainly are not wrong

People just need to look. Anyone of the description you just laid out that doesn't throw on a jam like ATW and says- "Ahh this is what I've been looking for" them FTW

I identify with the stoner/bluesy/psychedelic rock music because it has all the elements of music I like but still has that "old school" classic rock feel to it. There is a reason that music is loved and replayed over and over and over... its timeless.. although can be played out. Well some bands and some songs... I don't care how many times I hear Dazed and Confused by Zeppelin I will jam it.

This guy would need to just scroll threw this thread for 15 mins and he would be satisfied with music for a good while
