To Give Giggs his 1000th match in the biggest match of the year.
Harsh call.. not totally incorrect but always feel that if in doubt make the conservative call and affect the game in the least manner possible.
Don't see intent to harm another player(as the common law system of the game has put into the rule like the Brady tuck rule in American football) or use of excessive force to trap a ball in the air. should be a yellow..
granted im a little bit of a homer, but flip the sides I wouldn't have been enraged if Pepe would have only gotten a yellow for similar hypothetical play on RvP
