Man that brings back memories. Watched that game on TV with my dad. I do remember Nelson running for his life a lot in the second half and how sloppy the field got. This game really hooked me on Tiger football at the ripe old age of 8!!

Me too, was in 6th grade though, remember thinking why we struggling with this little "unknown" team! We are the mighty LSU, we just show up and these other teams will just lay down for us let us destroy them,(and some of these had guys with dark skin-see Syracuse from a few Sugar Bowls before- what up with that. Sorry that's the way it was then the short sightedness of the time around here!) probably some that attitude prevails today-see Clumson game 2012!
