Prop bets like that only have a max bet of generally only like 200-500 dollars. You could, I guess, make 100 different accounts at different sportsbooks, but that's just not that practical and the books would definitely know something fishy is up

The big issue is that the sportsbooks in question are all located in Asia (Singapore to be precise) where there are far less restrictions on wager limits, and where large bets often go unreported to authorities, as is the case with any mega-bet made with European/American bookmakers.

These syndicates then make connections with people involved with poorer Eastern European soccer clubs, people who actually need the money match fixers offer.
