yup. But that track incident is why this is being leaked now. Trial by media.

I get that. I was asking a rhetorical question.

Nope
Major is not an LSU guy.....at all

Well, coaches are mercenaries, basically. I just don't think Applewhite is that great at what he does, and LSU could afford to do much better.

think Miles would hire this guy now? no chance
YUP. Cause Major would want more control over the offense than Les would give him. FACT!!!!!!!!1

Side note: A buddy of mine who played OT for Rice when he was their OC said Major would get so hammered when they were at the 2006 New Orleans Bowl they had to literally carry him back to his hotel room every night.
I know, CSB.

He's had his chance in the SEC. The little bastard two states east ran him off. Tejas hasn't exactly been an Offensive juggernaut lately, either.

He left Bama on his own
He did not enjoy the Saban work atmosphere

I wouldn't not hire him based on this alone. Coaches nail student workers all the time and you usually don't hear about it.

Is he that good of a coach?

thank goodness we gave Miles a break today so we could go after Texas and Applewhite.

These are the facts:
1. Major has no desire to come back to Br, his sophomore year of college his family (by the way were die hard Bama fans) picked up and moved to Austin. They all live there (wife is from San Antonio so all of there family is in Texas).
2. Major interviewed with Miles and Saban and accepted the job at Bama before Miles made any decisions regarding his new OC.
Bottom line is, he's a good guy but there will never be any interest between both parties.

I would totally hire him in an offensive quality control or assistant QB coach role.

Applewhite, A lifetime longhorn, was not even the principle OC or playcaller at Texas. Brian Harsin was hired to innovate the offense. Both failed and now Harsin has moved on. If you want to hire a Baton Rouge guy, might as well hire Warrick Dunn. Probably just as qualified.
