Yea thats why the Ruger single six comes with two cylinders for .22lr and mag.
Personally I like revolvers for a few reasons.
1. Snubbies make great concealed carry pieces, esp j frames.
2. Reliable
3. Great looking firearms. Other than 1911s, semi autos are pretty ugly handguns. Most revolvers are pretty nice looking.
