Hugh Jackman held everything together in X1 and X2. Had it not been for him, I don't think I would have liked those two films.

X-Men: First Class was better than the first two X-Men movies because there was better character development for just about every major character in the film. It was also very well acted, too.

Also...Michael Fassbender IS Magneto. I didn't care too much for Ian McKellan's version of the character. As arguably one of the greatest comic book villains of all-time, McKellan sure had a hard time bringing out the menace that is inherent in the character. Fassbender, however, had no problem whatsoever letting the audience know this guy is somewhat of a monster.

It definitely was but I give the first one a pass. It wasn't bad for a genre of movie that was in it's infancy.
