There’s a reason LSU has been one of the elite programs in college football the past few years. The Tigers have recruited and developed players about as well as anyone. The sobering reality for everybody else in the SEC is that nobody has done it as well as Alabama, and the Tigers and Crimson Tide just happen to reside in the same division.

This might be the best stated thought ever. The thing is Bama has blinded my thoughts and I look past this because it seems like we should be there but in reality there isn't a better the last 7 years than Lsu and Bama with Bama standing in the way.

This doesn't however excuse our offense.
The statement by ESPN is largely true except for "developed players as well as anyone". This is not true in several key instances and on the offensive side of the ball. So nitpicking, the statement is largely true but you could make the argument that we are chasing Bama largely because that development did not happen and becuase we have sub standard coaching- as it compares to Bama- but not as it compares largely to the overall CFB world.

This completely true, but every team in college football has substandard coaching compared to Bama. The fact that Bama run by and Ex-LSU coach that helped bring LSU to the status it is at now (which Miles has maintained very well). And it happens to be within our own division seems to be the heartache a lot of people can't get over. Maybe in time we will see.

P.S. I know my grammar is rather terrible there feel free to bash me for it.

This statement cracks me up.

Our coach's standard for winning the MNC is completely different from Bama's coach. Everyone, including the media that assists Bama's coach, chooses to overlook this.

Yet, if LSU's coach doesn't live up to this astounding double standard, his own fans call him a moron. This really is fun to watch, as well as the fact that this same media outlet is turning CFB into the WWE.
