With OJ the situation was a little bit different. I believe he was guilty of killing a woman and an unsuspecting man, then running from it.
In no way am i condoning any sort of murder. OJ's seemed planned, and carried out in a very brutal manner.
With Ray, a fight broke out and his partners may have done the deed in the spur of the moment. I dont know, thats just my opinion when compared to OJ though.
Courtroom issues are complicated. When you choose to go to trial its not a 50/50 chance. I cant tell you what his lawyers advised him to do but usually taking a plea is like saying, "you can START to move on with your life and put this behind you, because of you choose to go to trial you're putting your life in the hands of 12 strangers who dont want to let another OJ incident occur etc etc etc" (all speculation, i dont know what exactly was said, just saying possibilities)
And there is Ray in his 20's possibly thinking, "If i take this deal that was offered to me, i can begin to move on"
not condoning any of it, shitty it all went down. not saying he's learned any lesson or is a great human being because i dont know him.
But i am pulling for the Ravens.

Then why did he take a plea deal and settle out of court? He paid those families a shite ton of money so it would all go away.
