Believable, and possibly true. But he had to seek out and recruit other nut jobs to pull off the hoax. Christ that is just fricking weird that his "cousin" or whoever played lennay while supposedly on the phone with Manti was also THAT big of a nut job to go along with the hoax as well. If money wasn't the motive, why does she go a long with this for more than a day or two?
I have no idea since I can't "get inside the mind" of a con-artist or a nut-job.
I can however completely see where Manti is coming from. I've never had an online relationship, but I can imagine that if I did that I would probably feel like he did about it.
