re: Preparedness planning for a home invasion

I keep several guns around for self defense. Most are near their magazines, but a few have the magazines in them with no round chambered. They are all locked up in a safe except one. I keep a shotgun in the closet with a few rounds in the tube but none in the chamber. It's very easy for me to get to in the middle of the night since it's right next to my bed. If I had any kids in the house, I wouldn't do this, but since I don't it's ok.
