Get ready, in Colo ur bout to see a lot more.
I say that Colo is about to get a lot more b/c after made legal, more people will smoke that didn't before, and that's fine with me (better that than booze or pills, etc), if you read my posts. However, people like myself just would rather prepare them for a likely scenario that happens to many, many chronic tokers beforehand, rather than have it hit them upside the head and overwhelm them after the fact.
Please dont tell me that you've never heard of all the people, maybe not in ur circle, but ALL OVER the int complaining about the withdrawal and the addiction. If anyone reading this doubts it, just google "cannabis withdrawal/cannabis addiction" and read the multitudes.
Any discerning individual can ask any medical professional associated with mental health services or addiction about this and will receive plenty of information confirming my statements.

People generally struggle more with the lifestyle changes associated with quitting
And yes, trudat, all the more reason why pot is quite possibly the hardest to quit of them all. It has this component, which is the hardest part, along with the physical withdrawal for many (which makes them never get over the hump), and that part does last longer than all other drugs for the reasons I mentioned. And it is one of the few drugs that rarely brings one to a true "bottom", so they are able to still function somewhat in their addiction. This forces many to just accept it as a "doable" lifestyle. This is one of the biggest reasons why it is very hard to quit toking chronically once begun, for a person with a predisposed personal weakness for impulse control or addiction.
But again, as I mentioned before, this differs for different people with different unique reactions and body chemistry. It may not apply to you. But it applies to a large amount of people. If not, why are they checking into rehab so much. I guess you would tell them that's pointless.
Pot is a very complicated drug, more so than most, and it affects people differently under different circumstances and in different periods of their life and age, etc. The complications with its use and abuse cannot be painted with a broad brush.
