His record can be broken but it will have to be from a kid who loves college basketball and is willing to stay four years to do it. Pete averaged 44 points a game over a 3 year period because freshman were not allowed to play back then. If a kid stayed 4 years in college and averaged 33 points a game he could break the record but any kid who averages 33 a game his freshman year would probably turn pro to make the big money. It can be done but in my opinion it is one of, if not the hardest records in sports to break. RIP Pistol. Gone but not forgotten.
