I don't think most reasonable fans believe Miles is driving LSU into some inescapable tailspin of mediocrity. However, I and many others are pretty tired of "just wait till next year" mantra. The lack of offensive execution, creativity, and play calling have plagued this team since Miles arrived on campus in 2005. To be perfectly, honest it was pretty bad before he arrived, but that was just college football 10 years ago. The issue is, that while seemingly everyone else outside of the Big10 has evolved offensively, Miles continues to play the same old broken record of pound it up the middle, play good defense, and keep the other team on their side of the field, "old man" football. Yes, it works for the most part when executed properly, but when injuries/youth/talent/etc. get in the way, LSU gets completely reliant on the defense and special teams to narrowly pull out a victory from what is perceived to be a far less talented team (aka Auburn, Towson,Ole Miss, Arkansas, etc.)

The rub is that you and me and everyone else who follows LSU/Miles knows that next years offense will look pretty much exactly like this years and the year before that, and that, and so on.

this is false. the most prolific offense in LSU history was under Miles....and i think the #3 offense in LSU history was also under Miles
