The average shooter won't really notice a difference, but long term it does make a difference. The average regular barrel can usually get about 10k rounds through it. A CHF barrel can supposedly take about 20K.

You mean until the twist will eventually get worn after 10k?



So why not just replace the barrel instead?

I would think, although i could be wrong, that most people will never see those numbers shot out of their weapons.
