An AR for home defense? Silly.
90% of people who own AR 15s use them for plinking. I dont know a soul who would use one for home defense.
Pros: CHEAP and available.

Your 90% comment is trash, no offense.
An SBR AR with a can is in my opinion ideal for home defense. Actually, 5.56 penetrates fewer layers of dry wall then 9mm lowering the potential for unintended hits.
I appreciate your opinion but you should interject facts in your post. The post I responded to was related to polymer and have my opinion.
