Yea. He should be using a rubber hammer. He has other vides where he takes it into a shop and they assemble the upper with a real gunsmith, that one shows head space and timing and gas block assembly. Dont be afraid to mar the finish. You can always duracoat it.

Heres a good vid on how to run your accessories. My setup is almost exactly how his is. Govt training and all I guess.
