And obviously, even those making league minimum should be able to afford a cab ride.

I remember having a few drinks and driving home when I had no job and was just a student, but ever since I became fully employed making far less than these guys, I get a cab if I'm that far along drinking. It makes no sense, and makes these situations that much worse. But you can't regulate stupid.

I've got a buddy who has a buddy that owns a towing business. Texas A & M weekend (in Tuscaloosa) my buddy got so drunk that he called his buddy and told him to come tow his truck for him. They come put his truck on the tow bed, he climbs in the cab of his truck and rides home on a tow truck. He gave them a $100 bill and they drop his truck at his house...shite was hilarious. My buddy said he'd rather give his buddy a 100 bucks than pay 10 grand for a DUI.
