Lets. See who leaves. LA.

Which is what I'm more concerned about.

With aTm now in the SEC they have a better chance of getting north LA talent. Most north LA guys(not me) are Texas bound in their careers. Parents who were cowboy fans and generally prefer Texas to Louisiana. When I was in school it was Houston this, Dallas that, etc...

Being in the SEC and with the talent in Texas, aTm could potentially be the next elite. The lack of Elitism(from aTm) and having home state pride, but with no other major colleges in that state, plays a huge role in getting LSU north LA talent.

Just recently from here we have:

Rasco
Claiborne
Mingo
Randle

All guys who have or will be in the first or second rounds of the NFL draft.

until they get someone in La that lsu offers, desires, and presses, this isn't a concern. people are tripping. 1, I repeat, 1 good season and still without a conference title since the 90s. Lets see how they respond to playing with pressure and expectations next year.

What North Louisian are you referring to? Surely not the one I have known. You can't be a North Louisiana (Port City) native and believe what you jst said. Maybe you confuse some Texans who frequent the area (Shreveport is the major city for the Ark-La-TEX), as being North Louisianians.

The North Louisiana I know loves LSU as much as those anywhere. However, if you live in a tri-state region and in the largest city, natives of other states visit often and many move there to live. So yes, there are Texas fans and Arkansas fans, but normally they are natives of those states. I assure you, it is rare to find a North Louisiana native who does not love LSU with a passion. If you are out on game days, it would be evident with all of the LSU gear. Rare, if ever, see Texas gear on their game days. LSU is the Louisian state school, not South Louisiana's only.

As relates to the Cowboys, the overwhelming majority of North Louisiana Cowboy fans are older and started liking the Cowboys before the Saints came into existence, when the Cowboys was the closest NFL team they could identify, being that Dalls is closer even than New Oeleans. Sort of like the Gulf Coast Mississippi being staunch Saints fan because of proximity. Now if Mississippi got an NFL in Jackson, There would still be Saints fans on the Mississippi Gulf Coast because of a lifetime of passion for the Saints.

How many guys from North Louisiana have turned down LSU for Texas? I guarantee everyone you could possibly name has a counterpart from South Louisian as shown by recent history. In fact, it seems more from South Louisiana have jumped ship than from North Louisiana.

The guys from North Louisiana who recently went to aTM and TCU, were not recruited by LSU. So, yes Texas is a viable alternative if LSU does not offer. But I have never seen any type love for Texas or aTm in the area. It is usually those from the outside making those false claims about the area.
