A. Any talk of leaving the SEC is ridiculous. For all of its MANY, MANY flaws, it is the best game in town, and pays its members accordingly.
B. The SEC needs to grow the hell up, and get past its nepotistic old boys network, whoever it favors. Whether there is real, provable bias or not, the fact that the second most powerful and profitable sports organization in the United States is leaving itself open to the implication of these charges is beyond ridiculous. The conference needs to start acting like a real institution, not a backwoods hunting club or regional bush league run out of a damn hotel in Birmingham.
If the SEC refuses to do this, then it's only a matter of time before someone catches them with their pants down. The NBA got off easy when only Tim Donaghy got caught red-handed gambling, but it still hurt the league's perception for several years. And just look at the MLB, and the fact that it took the better part of a decade to get past the issue of steroids. This is a potential problem for the SEC just waiting for a front-page headline.
If someone really IS doing something fishy, rest assured that it will eventually get exposed. There are too many enterprising journalists and scandal-mongers out there digging for dirt everywhere they can find it, and the bigger the organization, the bigger the target they represent. It's only a matter of time before someone starts getting deep into the SEC's business, and looking for anything that smells.
To sum it up, the real crime is the arrogance and stupidity of letting alums of one member organization run the majority of the league office. This just invites accusations and trouble. Surely even BAMA fans can understand this.

Get those Auburn boys on it, they probably closest to it. And I think they owe them one.
