re: If LSU fans no show this game, it WILL affect our future bowl selections....

I don't completely disagree with your premise but I tend to reject your conclusion.
If we travel poorly, that is a factor in bowl selections. However, given that we get passed over for the top bowls routinely, I'm not really sure it will affect our future bowl selections. 2005, 2010, and this year are prime examples of how LSU has gotten the tough end of the selection process. It had nothing to do with the way Tiger fans travel.
The better point is, for all these people who argue that the SEC sked doesn't matter and that people who want an equitable solution are "whining," just know that UGA skated on a soft schedule, while LSU had to go and play Florida (which we do every year). The East champion got a break and got a better bowl selection. TAMU got a better bowl selection. USC got a better game. Good thing TAMU drew Mizzou and USC drew Arkansas, right? Hate for them to have to play an additional tough team.
The schedule, as always, matters. Glad everyone likes the Florida game (I do, too), but that is an extra hurdle that will often bite our team and send them to the wrong Atlanta

2005 is the only time I can say we got fricked over, but it worked out awesome for us, didn't it?
How did we get screwed in 2010?

Sometimes, that's how the schedule turns out. The only way to prevent that is to play 13 conference games.
Remember in 2002-2005 when UGA had to play a tough Auburn team and we had to play Zook UF and Urban's rebuilding UF team?

USC would've went peach, but since they just played clemson, that's understandable. Besides, is the outback REALLY that much better than the Peach?
A&M deserves cotton clearly. They are the hotter team and finished strong. Plus, they will bring in higher ratings and a heisman player. We bring in a sourpuss fan base and a boring style of football. It's just the way it is.
