Well Dukke, I hear you. Maybe I am someone who did not have it mentally to be an All-American athlete. I certainly have no physical talent. To me, Saban's BS process crap would get old after about a week or two. But hey, the man gets the HS All-Americans. He's got something that these kids gravitate towards, other than NC's. Cause, he wasn't winning Championships at Michigan State and he never went undefeated at LSU. I guess Alabama and Bear Bryant still sells itself.

If Alabama beats Georgia, might as well kiss Notre Dame's arse goodbye.

LOL. What are you talking about? Saban recruited extremely well at LSU. For example, he had the number one overall class in 2001, which ultimately yielded the 2003 championship. Recruits gravitate towards Saban because he has an NFL pedigree, he wins championships, he is worshipped by the media, he's articulate and charming in person, and - most importantly - he continually generates first round draft picks. BAsically, he sells himself to recuits as the coach who will help them fulfill their potential and prepare them for a life in professional football.

Bama has no inherent recruiting advantage over LSU.

You can say what you want But remember TWO things. LSU would NOT be where they are today if NOT for Saban AND he treated EVERYONE at LSU the Same as he treats everyone at Bama. He left LSU for a dream Job he has ALWAYS wanted in the NFL. Did he do it right??? Prob not. BUT he realized that his coaching style was better suited for the college game, and came to an opening that was there.

Well he has only 1 unbeaten season at Bama. I still think that the 2003 LSU team HE coached is better than ANY Bama team he has coached. IMO.
