College football really changed with the BCS. It's pretty much BCS or bust for elite programs. I think we all expect a bowl game now since all you need is a winning record.
10 years ago we were thrilled with 10 win seasons, but it's pretty much expected now. There are only two teams every year as talented as we are on the schedule. That's reality.
Fans are just coming to grips that it;s not happening this year (BCS matchup) It's understandable.

The BCS is not just, but it is understandable. It has produced affirmative action for conferences that do not belong in the mix at all. The BCS must extend invites to teams such as Rutgers or Louisville or whoever because of TV money. It is a joke. It cannot be taken seriously. The upcoming playoff looks to change that which leads me to believe that a level field playoff system will not happen. It would be full of SEC teams this year, including a torpid LSU.
