I actually prefer the 6-team model. That will give incentives for the teams to continue to play hard for the 1 and 2 seeds and a first-round bye. Although, I could see people clamoring that an SEC team always gets a first round bye.

I could work with that idea too.
Remember, trying as mightily as we all will, eventually, the SEC won't be in the catbird seat. It may take another decade, it may take 3 years. We won't like it, but it will happen.
