I had the old ones for all of about 4-5k miles and on a different jeep, so not really sure on a true comparison, but they started slightly cupping and had horrible noise in that short time. I hvae about 10k on my 37's, about 90/10 road vs dirt, and the 40's about 10/90 with about 3k. I love them better than the KM2's, and probably the best tire Ive used in a while. Although I am using on a Jeep in a more rocky terrain as opposed to a truck in the mud
