I wish he would become a graduate assistant, and work his way to a full member of our coaching staff. He is a tremendous Ambassador for the University and he has already proven to be a Great Recruiter!
Regardless of his on field accomplishments he is and has been a tremendous Tiger!

I like Shep and all, but what would he coach? TEs?

i've told everyone all along that shep's talents are not on the football field. yes, he's a good player but just not good enough in any one category. the nfl is not for him. he's better off anyway going into business or coaching. i am sure that if he maintains his attitude, russell shepard will be a success at whatever he does. AND, when he's fifty he won't have to replace his knees and hips and have premature arthritis along with much pain. i think it would be great if coach miles would take him under his wing and develop him as a coach. i doubt he would end up at LSU because timing is so crucial in a coaches career with job progressions but he can make millions as a head coach somewhere. mr. shepard, thanks for coming to LSU and thanks for being LSU. us tiger fans wish you the best in your future endeavors.
